I read in SC that you can get the GM aluminum heat insulator plate from GM still. Can anyone reference a part number? This is for a square bore.

They are also available from another source: Holley sells both square and spreadbore shields.

Guys, thnx. I feel a little embarassed
. Sitting on the can this am
, perusing the Fisher/Waar book, I saw the picture of a 425HP 427 with the insulator plate.

GM p/n # 3969835,$15.91 from the local GMPP dealer.
