is it safe to paint a glove box door with krylon type spray paint (black) or do i need a special paint for plastic? I have a plastic primer that this will go over so im just curious if i need a special paint. Also, is there a way to tighten the lock assembly on the door or is it supposed to have a small amount of play in it? I know it needs to turn, but should the entire lock be able to move? sorry for the dumb question, my car came without a glovebox door, so i wasnt sure.

if I use a basic enamel spray bomb instead of a regular interior paint like SEM then i always rough it up good with scotcbrite. clean thoroughly with a prep-sol and spary with an adhesion promoter first. I don't have anyproblems with peeling using that method. DAVE
