I am storing a 69 nova for a friend. The car needs all new locks. How the heck do I get the glove box lock out. There are no keys and the outer bezel will turn freely.

The door and ignition locks are pretty easy, but I've never pulled out a glove box lock and don't want to damage anything.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I don't know what a 69 nova glove box lock looks like, but for the one I recently did, you need the key - then have to turn it until a small hole is visible on the back of the lock tumbler, poke a small piece of wire or something into the hole to release.

I had no key so was forced to cut mine off.

just remove the glove box take it to any decent locksmith he can remove it for you in a minute. if you can find a lock clylinder from a elcamino or one that that uses a round key you can have the locksmith code a key that will also work in your doors and trunk, just take all your locks down there at once
