Worked on the chevelle this afternoon getting it ready for the track on the 12th. Sure did sound good to hear the engine again, its been a couple months since I ran it at the track. All that I have on the list now is to do a front end alignment you know its bad when you can visually see that its really off.

Today I adjusted the rear suspension for less IC so the suspension has to do less of a job now that the motor is making some more umph. And I unchained the front end. I had it so tight that I couldnt move it at all in fear of putting it on the bumper. Now I have it reset to where I had it with the other motor to the point where I can top the suspension out pretty easily.:D

For the first time I was out I wasnt too worried about timing or oil level, but more so about making sure the motor was running smoothly. I put the timing at 35 today from a meek 28 it was at. And I also pulled 2.5qts of oil out of it, now theres no oil sitting ontop of the windage tray and on the floor of the pan in the front.

Too bad this is the last time out for the Velle, I was looking forward to plucking Tweety.:D
It wont be the last time I will try to get some more races in this season for sure. Mostly first 1/8th milers only. See if I can get it to hook on the brake. Get a real nice professional pic of the wheels way up passing the tree.

Im going to need someone to send text updates to me at the Rod Run. Its going to be cool to have pics of a Bob type wheelie of Tweety. Then its Monte's turn:D
If it all works out like I want it to this time out I will have to coax joel and mel to come out and snap some pics for me. The only wheelie stuff I have of the car is stills from video. Shooting for a 1.29 60ft, or a 1.40 on the back tires.
