Worked on the chevelle this afternoon getting it ready for the track on the 12th. Sure did sound good to hear the engine again, its been a couple months since I ran it at the track. All that I have on the list now is to do a front end alignment you know its bad when you can visually see that its really off.
Today I adjusted the rear suspension for less IC so the suspension has to do less of a job now that the motor is making some more umph. And I unchained the front end. I had it so tight that I couldnt move it at all in fear of putting it on the bumper. Now I have it reset to where I had it with the other motor to the point where I can top the suspension out pretty easily.
For the first time I was out I wasnt too worried about timing or oil level, but more so about making sure the motor was running smoothly. I put the timing at 35 today from a meek 28 it was at. And I also pulled 2.5qts of oil out of it, now theres no oil sitting ontop of the windage tray and on the floor of the pan in the front.
