I have a column shift 71 chevelle. the gear indictaor does not work and I guess that there should be some sort of linkage that connects to indicator to make it work.Can anyone tell where I could get this piece and how to hook it up?

IIRC there is a cable that has a clip that attaches to the steering column and the loop on the other end hooks to the pointer on the shift indicator. I don't know if the repo them or not but I think the same part was used for quite a few years.

he had 25 of them in a box
gave it to me
