I was driving the Velle yesterday, and notices something bizar.

After driving for 15 minutes, i took a look at the water temp gauge, and it was on 240!!
I imidiatly pulled over, and turned the headlights off (It was night) Right when i turned them off, water temp went down 30 degrees!!!
Then i turned the engine off, put the switch in the ON position and down it went to 180..

I also noticed that once i turn the headlights on, the volts gauge drops down to 0 as if the engine is turned off.. when i turn the headlights back on, its ok.

I hooked up a tachometer a few weeks ago.. I think that this is the cause. because when i turn the headlights on at night, only the tachometer illuminates, and the triple gauge set doesn't.

All gauges are electrical BTW.

HELP.

I'd start by looking to see how that voltmeter is hooked up. Positive (+) should be hooked up to a switched IGN terminal on the fuseblock. Negative (-) should be tied to a good frame ground. Get that working right and you may find the problem with the others.
