It was reported today by one of his customers, Gary Sharkey, aka GOSFAST passed last night at 85 years old. I know he may have rubbed some people the wrong way but he was always friendly to me.
Very Sad news...
I did not know him but read some info and he knew his stuff.
A void in the Team that will not be filled quickly.
Keep you foot on the gas and a wrench in your hand.Mr Sharkey.
R.I.P.
So sad to hear. He was always so willing to help and share his experiences and the results of builds at his shop. I'll miss his posts.
And in his very own style.....
I'm very bummed to hear this. He graciously helped me fix an oil leak at my dipstick tube boss about five or so year ago.....which would have made him 80 or so at the time. I had no idea he was that old.
I found Gary to be very helpful and easy to talk to. I liked his posts and how he would almost always end them with a PS paragraph.
That man loved himself a 396.
Eternal Peace, brother. Thank you for the time you spent with us. You will be missed.....and a man that is remembered is never truly gone.
Wow, So sorry to hear that. I sent him a PM a few weeks ago because I hadnt heard from him and knew he was having some health issues. I had no idea he was that old though.
RIP Gary
A few years ago I emailed Gary and asked if he would sell me 10 of the pink springs for the Melling 77 pumps and what the cost would be. He asked for my address, sent me the springs at no charge and asked if I would just make a donation to the St. Jude Children's Hospital. He would not take any money. I donated $50, emailed Gary and told him I had donated it in his name. He said if I needed anything to let him know. He will be missed.
