Well, just saw news the SPI Epoxy I use along with most of the other paints they sell are going up in price due to increases in costs everywhere(oil, gas, etc)

I just ordered another gallon of epoxy/cat and a gallon of the single stage black. Even got Free Shipping from BakerPBE.

They got 50 gallons left of the single stage, once they are gone there will be no more Single Stage. Kinda a bummer.

Order before June 15th to avoid the increase in price......

Come on Rubadub.... it's like crack, once you try it .. it's all you want. :D

yeah that Rob, I dunno, you know he's old, it's like teaching a dog to talk :)

what is the reason they won't be selling the SS anymore?

I might have to get me a gallon of the epoxy, right quick. Thanks for the heads up.

Just from lurking on the SPI forum, looks like it was a business choice for Barry to phase it out. Seems strange since everyone loves it over there.

The epoxy was $130ish spend $150 and it's free shipping at Baker. Real nice guys over ther too.

I just got a brain flash, you and Andy should get some of that cheap spi, and mix that up with some por-15, then you birds could really lay her in there, get some trowels and keep her thick.

It's one thing to bash a product you have tried(for me DPLF), it's another to bash a product you have not tried(for you SPI).

SPI is not "cheap" paint, you want cheap then go get some interior latex. SPI is a quality paint. Cheep.... no. Inexpensive... yes. PPG, overpriced..... big time.

Rob, I sure wish you'd give the SPI epoxy a try instead of bashing it, I'm sure you're a big enough man to admit the truth. I can honestly say I was hesitant to try the stuff being it's a small company but after a few years of using the stuff I want nothing else. PPG has always done me good and I used the DP series for many years when they came out with it in the 80's but it went South qualitywise after the introduction of DPLF, and SPI is better than both IMO.
