I'm going to break this up into a couple posts rather than one big one but I'm trying to get my engine together to take to the dyno shop.

The block is a 3963512 but how can I find more info.. should there be more numbers on it? on the rear near the above number are GM6 and K12 9 but I think I'm missing a code somewhere.

Anyone have info on how I can decode the date or where the missing code might be?

I need to buy some more parts like oil filter adapter, etc and would like to know the year, etc

Thanks

Date is Nov 12,1969 so it's a 70 year engine.
'Engine ID Number' should have 3 letter code at the end - Cxx /Txx format.

Thank you...

So the K12 9 means its a Nov 12, 1969... good deal thanks. I didn't see the id number but I will look again maybe its covered by the heads or something.

Would this block be worth anything or better to keep around for a resto since it's a 69/70 block or doesn't it matter.

I just hate to go blow it up or something.. kinda the same I'm dealing with my 12 bolt it's a stock posi with stock axles and I'm thinking I might upgrade before blowing it.. rather than replace it after the fact.

Thanks for the help.
