Don't boot me, but I'm one of those other A-body guys - 65 Buick Skylark Convertible.

Working on an LS2 swap over the winter. Had a Holley tank and pump on order, but the delivery date just went from last week to mid April. Does anybody have any comments good or bad on Tanks Inc, Aeromotive or FiTech tanks and pumps?

Seems to be mixed info on how big a pump. LS2 with BTR stage 3 cam. Is a 255 lph pump enough to keep up with the fuel injection on pump gas (no E85), or do I need to step up to the 340 or bigger pump?

A secondary LS swap question: Does everybody use Dexcool/orange coolant or back to normal green/glycol coolant with the engine swap?

Tanks inc and awromotive both make fantastic products. No experience with fitech tanks.

255lph will be plenty for your ls2.

Stick with dexcool. If you want to switch back to regular coolant make sure to flush the entire cooling system a few times. If you mix standard coolant with dexcool, the fluid will turn into sludge.

I'm running a Tanks, Inc tank, fuel pump and their "armless" sending unit. No complaints but watch the polarity when you hook up the armless sending unit - they sent me another one under warranty - the directions were not very clear.

I'm running a Aeromotive. Nice setup. I like the foam surround sump. Keeps the pump extremely quiet. Outlets are in the same location as oem. I'm running the 200 pump with my 6.0 but they make a 340 also.

Dexcool, a LS2 with that cam should be around 530 +/- 30 at the crank that’s the upper limit of the 255 as long as you’re getting 13.5 volts to the pump. Id go with the 340 to be safe.

re: pump control: checkout VaporWorx. They have a controller that makes running a return-less system a snap. Most of the time the pump just idles, keeping it and the fuel cooler. For antifreeze, I'm using Amsoil pre-mixed green stuff. I sourced my tank from Rick's Tanks and use a CTS-V2 pump module.

You might want to check Holley's eBay store, they had a bunch of "seconds/return" fuel tank kits listed. I Just got the Holley (Tanks inc tank) 400lph kit for 500$ shipped for my 70'. Nothing in the kit had a single scratch, it was obviously a returned product though.

I used the Tanks Inc tank in my 67 Chevelle when I did my Gen III swap a few years ago. 24 gallon capacity, in-tank Walbro 255. Fit like a glove and the supplied sending unit is 90% accurate.
