I would like to install a fuel injection system on my 327 engine. I have a TPI from a 86 vet which fit my block but the oil canistor under the intake prevents me from using it.

Can I remove this canistor from my 327?
Is there any conversion kit that can be used?
If I remove the canistor how will this effect the engine/

Any information that you can supply me with will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Jeff,

Yes you can remove the canister, just use valve covers with a pcv valve in one side and a breather in the other.

I am a fan of TPI for it's low end torque and mileage but remember it will fade out around 4500-5000rpm.

If you are using the stock computer you will need a Computer compatible camshaft. Comps has a good choice of cams for TPI equipped engines.

If you want to get even further into the TPI computer there is free software you can download into a old laptop, they show you how to make a cable to plug into the ALDL port and data log a ton of info.

I have this set up that I use on my 85 T/A
