Here is what I have done so far. I've done all the testing with the Ohm meter as described in other responses. I have check for bad grounds and the all test positive. My car is a 1970 Chevelle with gauges all other gauges work fine. Is it possible to hook up a wire from the sending units tan wire directly to the gauge? If so looking from the back of the gauge where would attach it so I can test the gauge. Thanks very much.
John I've done the empty test and got 0 Ohm and when full I get 90 Ohms. What wire are you referring to at the gauge. There is a printed circuit board that attaches all the gauges. Thanks I hope this helps. Rodger
I tired what you said in your last post. When I attach a jumper to the tan wire at the sening unit and then touch a known good ground. The guage does nothing at all. With ignition on or off. What can I try now.
