Disconnect at the sending unit, check to see if you have voltage on that wire.
No voltage, go to the gauge and see if you have voltage there on both connections.

Fuel gauge doesnt work.
Well Since my gf and I got her truck up and running about a week ago we are finding little bugs here and there. One of the things I need help on is the fuel gauge doesnt read anything.
The sending unit is new and she has somewhere around 1/2 tank but the gause reads empty.
We dont know if it ever worked tho thats the thing. we bought the truck and tore it apart the day we bought it.
How do I test if the gauge works?
