Front bumper hitting bracket

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has had issues with their front bumper hitting the bracket that comes down from the hood latch? (On a 67). Everything is squared up, bumper sits nicely left to right (3/4" on each side) it's more fore and aft thats an issue. Even with the rad support pushed way back it seems to hit. I'm actually surprised the bumper brackets dont have much movement fore and aft. I dont think I would want to move the bumper outwards too much cause then it doesnt cover the front valance nicely.
Any input is appreciated, thanks guys

The drivers side front end was previously hit. The drivers side frame horn has been professionally straightened. I bought another rad support off a doner car but same thing. I'm starting to think the bumper itself is the issue but wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue before. I'm pretty sure the bumper and the brackets are aftermarket. The frame horn wasn't straightened during the insurance claim when the damage was repaired after the hit so maybe the bumper is bent or warped, hard to tell.

I would have to measure again but one side sat higher than the other. I would say the one side was around 1/2" which I think is correct to the book.

How far forward is the bumper suppose to be from the front of the fenders? Is the valance completely covered?
