Chopping the rear seat section out and welding the car back together was a 70's thing, guy I know did that to his LeMans Blue 69 SS396 Chevelle, a 64 or 65 Chevelle and a mid 60's Dodge Dart, Not my cup of tea

That short 68 was going cheap... a whole front clip and engine rear end etc for 4K in parts!

That must end up with a realllly short drive shaft. Don’t like it looks retarded 👎🏻

It sure does! Why anyone would want to do that to ANY car, let alone to a classic American muscle car, is beyond me. :rolleyes:
I’m thinking that it’s because it was probably a clapped out 4 door that was on the way to the crusher anyway. I’m also quite confident that he doesn’t give two sweet f*@#$ what anyone else thinks. Pretty much sums it up with the “SS- MY WAY” on the fender.
It’s definitely not my taste but to each his own. People will always find something to pick apart on every single car out there. Something not correct on a restoration, a shorty, bad choice in wheel/tire combos, etc, etc, but in the end as long as your car makes you happy then cruise on!
