I just found the partial VIN # stamped on my frame. The surface rust makes it extremely hard to see. After sand blasting and painting I'm sure it will be long gone. I took the following pictures to try and document what I had found. This is a real SS car so I would like to document what can for authenticity. Any other suggestions other than what I have done? Thanks!

The surface rust on mine is bad, but I'll still be able to use the frame. I guess the pictures I currently have will be my only documentation. I thought about leaving that area alone, but I hate to leave the rust to continue getting worse.

Try using some rust remover/treatment on that area to see if you can bring out the VIN. Rub some black paint on the VIN to highlight it, then take another pic, perhaps with the title also in the photo. That will be your documentation. If that works to bring out the VIN, then you could mask the VIN during media blasting. Or do nothing is also OK.
