I am needing to do a frame swap on my 64 SS Convertible as mine is in bad shape. I have found a 1966 hard top frame that has been boxed sand blasted and primed. I was just wanting to see what challenges I may run into. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

it will work. just pay attention to the core support mount. 66 uses bushings 64 does not

I did this exact thing, I used an elcamino frame from a 64 elcamino, you have to cut about 3 inches from the rear of the frame where is a U shape and reweld that section back on. A coupe frame is not boxed it, so you'll have to deal with that to make sure the frame is strong. Good luck!!

I believe that the cross member for transmission is different than a convertible as well.
