what is a 3series or 4 series? does that mean a 3.73 ring and pinion is a 3 series and a 4.10 is a 4 series. i need to know becaus i want to build my 12 bolt.

A three series carrier will let you run any gear set In the threes minus spacer
Before stepping up to a any thing in the 4'S group it is a good idea to run the
right carrier 4 series
Although they make spacers to do the same thing from three to four also.
thicker ring gears. None of which are as strong .
As the right carrier for said ring and pinion
I’m sure whoever builds rear end for you will explain all that
Not a good job for a novice. You really need a professional IMO
