Hey guys, I bought a new quad core desktop. How do I get [email protected] to run on all 4 cores?
It was so fast, I thought it was on all four cores, but the task manager says 25%.:D
Also, when I click display, there is nothing to tell me how long is left for the core to finish.

Elco, in the task manager, under performance tab, you should have 4 seperate little windows depicting processor usage. If you are getting his in each one... then you are using all four.

You also have to install the versions of FAH that is designed for multi-core processors.

P.S. I didn't know that Team Chevy was still around at FAH. Cool.

It shows all 4 cores working at 25%.
I found this page on [email protected]: http://folding.stanford.edu/English/DownloadWinOther
Which is the right download for Vista premium, quad core 8200, and no video card?

Thanks Big D.
I am still folding, my P4 is about to be retired.:D

Elco,

You will want to go here, http://folding.stanford.edu/English/DownloadWinOther

and scroll down and pick the SMP(single multi processor) client towards the bottom.

or here is the link

http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandegroup/folding/release/FAH6.23beta-win32-SMP-mpich.exe

don't forget to look at the notes... Must run with -smp for smp mode.
