I'm looking at mufflers for my small block Monte and I know I'm definately going 3''. The compression is about 9.5:1 and I don't want the usual 40 series that many people have since other than the cam, it will sound like many other non-cat stock small blocks out there and I want something different. Flowmaster has a great sound and I was looking at the Super 44's. I see these things are going to be loud but I'm worrying about highway cruising and the 'Flowmaster' drone. I cruise at about 2500 RPMs with my 2.73's and I'm wondering if anybody can provide some feedback from these mufflers, if anybody has tried them and how they do and sound, and things they like and don't like such as how they sound while cruising mainly. A sound clip would be cool too. I'd even be up for some feedback from 40's and super 40's too.

I did a search on here and Youtube for Super 44's and didn't come up with anything and I know they're fairly new. Thanks in advance!

A friend of mine has them on his '08 Mustang, just the usual Mustang bolt ons and he runs along at about 1800-2000 cruising. His car is pretty loud when you give it any kind of throttle, but at a constant rpm they arent that loud. I know its a Mustang, and the mufflers on that car are all the way out at the rear bumper, its just the only experience I have with the Super 44's

Have you gone to Flowmaster's website for a soundbite? Hope this helps you!
Yeah, but you can't really get an idea of the decibals...I can adjust that with my volume knob on my computer. lol And the sound clips don't really give me an idea of the different RPM levels and if the 'drone' is existance or not. Thanks for the info so far...it seems that some people like them, some people don't. I don't know what to do!!!
