Does anyone have any sort of flow numbers for a closed chamber big block head. I have the 215 head with stock valves, gasket matched to edelbrock RPM, and pocket porting, they will have a fresh valve job soon also. I'm trying to get some flow numbers so my Desk Top Dyno can help me pick out a cam.

What size big block? I would pick the cam based on performance/ET goals
My 454 w/completely stock castings 215 heads does fine with a little 223/231 @ .050 hydraulic flat tappet

Had a 396 w/stock 215 heads that ran mid 12's with a 240/[email protected] .050 solid flat tappet

..all of this done without the help of "desktop dyno" :D

My 215's have a similar setup and flowed about the same as my sbc RR200's
at .500" and above. But below that the 215's were around 10cfm higher.
I'll have to dig up the #'s.
Might explain the small cam performance with the 215's.
They were both done on the same bench but different days.
