I'm planning on adjusting my floats tomorrow, and I know that it's best to adjust them while having the vehicle on a level surface. Okay, now here's my question, after I have a nice flat surface for my car to sit on while I do the adjustments...what position should the body of the car be? Unfortunatly, I've got air shocks (been on the car for nearly 10 years now! :D ), and I wanted to know how I should position the body when doing the adjustments. Do I leave air in the shocks...which will obviously cause the front end to dip down at an angle? Or do I remove all the air out of the shocks...causing the rear to dip down at an angle, leaving the front higher? OR, do I leave some air in the shocks, but only enough to try to make both front and rear and equal as possible? Thanks! :beers:

get it level as you can. the measurement is expected to be done on a bench, which are usually reasonable level. unless it's in my garage, that is. :)

Alright then, I guess I'll fill up the shocks with air, then release until the car looks as level as possible! :) One other question, after I'm done with the adjustments, will my car's performance be affected if I put more air in the shocks? Also, I'm planning on running my car at the track this coming saturday, so I'll be releasing the air out and slapping on some slicks...so, if the rear ends up dipping down a bit, will that affect the carb and my ets? Thanks!

Wanna borrow my shocks Alexis? My car isn't moving anywhere soon so if you want to use regular replacement shocks (Monroe Sens-a-trac), get your butt over here and take them off my car.
