X2 on the gear although I was taught 7-10% above peak power for a shift point, depending on how well the engine carries out past peak.I think you are right on for a gear. What do you shift at? General thoughts say that you should shift at about 72-7300 with a 7000 rpm power peak and you are crossing in the right area. I wouldn't touch it.

Try a 4.10 and maybe a different converter. Lenny, at UCC got Dustin Morgan a couple of tenths, and he was in the low nines.car has 4.57 gear was running 29.5 x10.5 mt stiff side walls was going through the traps at 7400 motor made power around 6900 7000 what do u guys think I should try for a gear
