OK guys..its alive!!!..came to life this afternoon and had a nice smooth break in..no real problems..a couple of leaky fuel lines and a cranky distributor, sounds real strong..quick first pull with 34 degrees, the carb out of the box, the valves a little noisey and the dyno distributor..633 hp @ 6100..648 tq @4500...were thinking there may be 20-30 more left in it..well play more tomorrow..I'm stoked!:D

Nice Al, especially considering using the 163 intake.
its 198..same as a 163, but without the center divider

i was curious if those fuel lines would supply enough fuel, looks like no problem, and the pump-or were you using dyno fuel system
ran on my pump and lines..no issues...yet

I love a "square" engine. Albert let me know how the throttle response and idle characteristics are.

The build pictures are out of this world.
Chris, throttle response is like a chain saw.......

Final numbers?

Awesome power! Especially going through a stock intake....(albeit a very worked one I'm sure...)

intake is only port matched to the intake..

Congrats.... Thats gonna be a nasty nasty car right there.....:beers:
I sure hope so :D

Whats the cost looking like?
I'm right around 16K including dyno time

final numbers..had more dist issues and ran out of time to find the fix..never had a good pull over 5000..that one had 623hp at that point, but came up short rpm wise... Ill use the previous run as my official figures:
hp tq
4000 489 643
4500 531 620
5000 580 609
5500 609 581
6000 633 554
