Guys, I am installing a american auto wire wiring harness and I am wondering do I need to keep the round hole that had a rubber grommet in it(to the right of the square connection on the firewall). I am not sure as to what wire ran through this(someone else disassembled car). If anyone could offer up any assistance. I am shaving the entire firewall and if I can get rid of it I am going to seal it up. Or if I need to keep it, does anyone know what wires went through it? Thanks in advance for any post

That hole is for the original wiper harness.
IF you are using stock wiring harnessess----you will need that hole for the wiper harness.

IF you are using the "Classic Update" kit----that hole will not be used and can be plugged.

You can get a plug from a 67 A-body car as it was not used after 66.

I made some modifications to my Classic Update kit and opted to use that hole for a factory type wiper harness.

But now my Update kits has wiring pigtails for a cruise control at a later date
