it was a beautiful day on sat 3/20/2021
i got 3-runs in finally at the drags in 1-hour
temp was 72-75* and the DA @ the Track was 7329 and physical elevation is 5295
over 1-mile high.
this is first time for this combo and first run down the track in over 6years.
running thru full exhaust and 2.5'' flowmasters dumping at rear bumper
left the T400 in drive to shift on its own.
no burn out on first run, small quick burn out on 2nd and 3rd.
first run seemed to spin to the 1/8mile
second not as bad
third it launched better but had to pedal it to hook it killed a couple of mph.
so i didn't do anything special to the car, drove it 20miles to the strip and then back home.

Lucky you and not bad #s at all for early in the year

I will not be getting my car out until April and then she is off to the Trany Shop for some Warranty Work
since I think the New Converter took a crap on me and or the Trany needs some Fine Tuning

Mid 120s in the 1/4, you have easy high 10s with some traction/60 ft improvements

My 4000+lb 10.70s street car at about the same DA goes through the traps at 126-127 One of these days I'll bring it down on a work trip and make a run at ABQ Dragway or at least bring my daily and see what it would do (slow).

Impossible. According to conventional internet wisdom, you cannot run time like that with "blowmasters" (sarcasm)
Nice work. Whats the rest of your combo?

Straub custom cam solid roller 232*/248*@0.050 and 0.612 / 0.590 lift 112*LSA
hughes custom converter 3900stall on a T400
3.73 gears 33spline 12bolt adj upper and lower control arms
hooker 2'' super low hanging headers w/blowmaster 2.5''muffs
msd6al with mallory unilite vac.distributor 22*initial and 34*total
MT 295/55/15 dragRadials
moroso drag springs in front with lakewood 70/30 shocks
bmr 2'' lowering springs in rear with lakewood 50/50 shocks
car performed at the track the same as it does on the street :sneaky:
traction limited claws to about the 1/8th mile
front end is up for good weight transfer
she pulls hard to 5800rpm i left the T400 in drive to help traction...

Wallace calculators show 616-629rwhp for 126mph or 740flywheelHP
i had hoped for more but i'm at a mile high in elevation, that kills HP even with a blower

Nice job! I know you don't want to hear this but I went from a 50 series flowmaster to magnaflow and gained a couple tenths on a naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 in the 1/8. Just felt like the top end was freed.

Engine masters just did an episode about mandrel vs crimp bent exhaust, they used a magnaflow knock off vs a dynomax super turbo and were astonished that they lost 0 power from the super turbo.

Scroll to the April 23rd post: Engine Masters
