They have a 4inch dropped version that is a lot less severe. I may go that route. I may do spring spacers if I can do it without screwing up the steering geometry.
Could you just raise the OEM suspension to get the look. What are your plans for the car? Race? Street? A straight axle is not known for good handling. I'm not trying to change your mind but that picture from 1988 is beautiful. Does 8t have a straight axle there?

Hopefully you don't end up like me. I bought wheels really early in the build and years later when all of my suspension was done they didn't fit correctly and I had to get different wheels. All I'm saying is don't jump the gun, maybe now focus on the chassis work. I know it's not as glamorous as new wheels but if you can't bolt them on anyway......
