I spoke with Mark. AKA Vortecpro last week I saw his add on ebay so I figured I would give him a call. We spoke for a few minutes and I told him what I was looking for he steared me to this forum before I made any choice.
Well I am blown away by the numbers he is getting from his BBC. My mind is made up for sure. I do have a question is there anyone that has had Mark build anything other than his 475 / 505 BBC 468? /496? four bolt main GM steel crank on the 468. Heads other than GM?
I am just trying too get all my ducks in a row before I call him back with the combo im looking for.
Thanks

The following is simply my opinion based on observation and information, but Mark seems to have quite a specialty in a narrow type of engine building market. I'm not saying that the man cannot build other engines, but the few combos that he usually DOES build and sells seems to indicate that his service is very specialized, and also that he very likely has those few combos that he sells down to a science, and would not be out-done by any other builder in this narrow engine selection that he usually offers.

Therefore, I'm thinking that you're probably better off by choosing one of the engine packages that he usually offers. I think that's what I would do if I were in your position. JMO. ;)
