Made a mess of the piece of frame that connects each side of the frame.

I was attempting to install a bulkhead on each side.

One is was higher than the other and I drilled again and its to low..

AGHHHHHHHHHHHH

Can I fill with weld and redrill the area?

can't tell by the pics how big the holes are, but if they're much bigger than a half inch, i think i'd try to find a piece the same thickness as the frame & make a small round patch to fit inside the hole & weld that in the hole flush with the frame. bevel the edges good, & you will get a full penetration weld. it might be a PITA, but the finished job will be much nicer, & you won't put as much heat in the frame as you would by welding the hole shut. if they were 1/4" or say even 3/8", i'd say weld 'em shut. if you want to re-drill after welding, get yourself a centerdrill to start the hole. it will be much easier on the drillbit.

The holes are for a 5/8" fuel line.

How thick is frame there?

I used one of those Christmas Tree drill bits..

It appeared to be fairly soft...

Yes, I race this car......Im upgrading from a 1/2" line to a 5/8" line...

I just the second hole (one below the first one) to low.....

I could use what I have...but Im a perfectionist....

If I put a patch or fill........Im assuming drilling a new hole...would not be a problem even if I drill though a welded area?

Ya it'll drill but weld is some hard stuff, as Jim said drill a pilot hole.
Oh..Ok..I got you now.

Use a pilot hole first and then the Christmas Tree bit...

How big should the hole be?
