I have a 68 chevelle that came with the fiber optic option, the headlights and turn signals are wired for fiber optics, however the previous owner cut the connections to the fender mounted displays. Any ideas on a repair for this problem ?

take the cut part and clean very good
then use some clear cement to bond the ends
back together
then on the sides glue some short pieces of
mechanics wire and cover with heat shrink
the mechanics wire will hold it straigh
and heat shrink will hold it together
oh yeah don't forget to put the heat shrink
over one end and slide it out of the way
until it is needed to finish the job

Thanks for the idea tom, after I posted the question I talked with a local old timer, and he recomended weed wacker line to slide over the ends of the fiber lines, and glue them on. I'll let you know how it goes..
