Dear readers thank you for your time!
I have just acquired a monster of a 71 chevelle with a 454 crate engine (14015445) that I'm trying to learn everything about her , my knowledge in cars is limited to filling a gas tank and observing the mileage for the next oil change 🤔 but that will change very soon.
My current issue is on the fenders there is an SS emblem with an extra hole next to it, I need advice as what to install there.
Does a 454 emblem exist that will match the size of the SS in order to be esthetically correct?
Unfortunately she has been through so many upgrades that I consider it a custom built, she is gorgeous but not "pure" as I would want her to be.

That fender hole is almost assuredly from a MALIBU badge - meaning the SS badge is using/covering the other two. As I'm sure you are aware, a large percent of Chevelles have SS emblems these days, despite not being originally so from the factory.

Looks like someone installed an "SS" emblem over the old "Malibu 350" emblem. Its one or the other, not both. I welded my Malibu emblems closed and do not have any emblems installed.

I'd put the malibu 350 emblems back on it just to have fun with it. The only real way that you're going to fix that correctly is to weld up those holes, and drill new holes in the proper locations, which will snowball into painting the fenders over, which of course will snowball into painting the entire car over... Reminds me of the 1970 Malibu with the 307 emblems on it while running a twin turbo 6.0LS engine. I'd have a blast with that!!
