I just had my 72 repainted and the guys at the body shop put my ss emblems upside down long part of S on top and small part of S on bottom and there is a gap between emblem and fender. How can I take them off with out removing the fenders or scratching the paint?

Remove wheel, then at least partially remove inner fenderwell, enough to get your hand in there.

studs on the emblem go thru the fenders, speed nuts on the back side.
