Hi guys! Many of you know David from Stoughton that's attended CB for the last few years in his Silver 66. David was involved in an accident on Friday morning on the way to work. Thankfully he's going to be fine, but will have to heal from injuries suffered in the accident. I've attached a couple pics of the car he was driving. I'm sure his family would appreciate any thoughts and prayers in his direction for a speedy recovery. He is putting a big block in the Chevelle and looking forward to going to shows this summer.

Here's the note from his family ~

Hello everyone,

You may have heard about the accident involving a semi and three vehicles on the Interstate this morning. The bad news is Dave was in it, but the good news is that everyone survived that was involved. Dave was transported by ambulance to UW Hospital. He suffered a broken right clavicle and a contusion/abrasion to the back of his head. As you will see when you look at the pictures of our car, he is very lucky! He definitely had a guardian angel looking over him today!

Be sure to tell the ones you love how much they mean to you every day. We are very thankful as a family that we have eachother!

Wow, the designers of that car should be thanked, that Grand Prix crumpled perfectly to keep the occupants safe. Thankfully he is alright. We will be saying a few words for him tonight for sure.

WOW, that car took a shot!
I'm happy to hear that everyone involved is going to be ok, especially David! I don't know what the other cars look like, but it appears that he took the brunt of the impact(s).
Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone and I wish David a quick recovery!

Thanks for all the kind words fellow TC members. I'm in for a long recovery. I have to keep my rt arm in a sling for 12 weeks. The bad part about all of this is I will not be able to drive my Chevelle (4sp) till it heals. I'm very lucky to be here today. I'm glad I was driving somewhat of a bigger car and impressed with how well the passenger compartment held up. Thanks again for all the kind words and prayers.

Best of luck on the recovery.

Maybe the Big block fairy will come and put your motor in for you! On second thought she'd probably do it wrong and that'll make for even more work in the long term. :D
