[6T9 Chevelle]

Last December I picked up this one owner 69 with 86,000 orig miles. It came with the orig bill of sale, protecto plate, and orig owner's manual, 307, 2 speed, working U15 speed warning (annoying), rear defog, vinyl top, deluxe interior. The seats were covered from day one with wool seat covers, so they are as new. I was told that she stopped driving it just before she passed away because she was tired of people always asking to buy it. A friend told me about it and I couldn't say no.

Graham, nice ride, I understand the 402 thing, but I'd be torn, that ride is almost to nice and original to touch.... But it's your ride, and the 402 will be cool... Button up that 307 somewhere safe....

I just bought a 402 for this car with help from a member here (Jarrett).

Thats a nice survivor with lots of paper. I think it would be a huge mistake changing the engine. For me, all the charm with this car is it's originality. It's your car, but I'd think twice about changing anything on it.

Very nice! Looks familiar. Mine also still has the 307, but with green top & interior. Leave it alone and drive it every chance you have.

Those are the same colors as my malibu including the top. I always thought there were too many colors to flow well and was a gm design error. That led me to paint the body in all green, eliminating the silver. After seeing a couple of these original cars, I made the wrong move and eventually will go back to the orig. scheme. Your car looks fantastic and truly makes it unique, I'd stay with the 307 also since it's so original.

Swap in the 402 but keep the 307 - you can always swap back.
