My car was built in Baltimore, MD and it also had a vinyl top. I noticed something sticking up by the right windshield pillar on the top and I pulled the vinyl top up and found something that is the color white (I scaped the paint off), and has some metal on the back. I heard somewhere that the factory used lead up here or is this just the factory's body filler? I know lead was used where the roof welds on to the sail panels but I'm not sure about up here.

Back in those days they used lead for the most part. The plastic body fillers were not fast enough for production, but lead cooled fast enough.
