Has anybody tried fitting ls1 f-body headers into their Chevelle when doing their swap? I'm trying to work up a budget for a swap and you can get a lot nicer F-body headers for cheaper than the a-body stuff. The Edelbrock conversion headers are decent but I'd rather they used a 300 series stainless instead of the 409 that they use.

the f body headers will work with some modifications.

i agree that edelbrock should have used 304, but their coating appears to be well above the rest. i just wish it was more of a polished finished. if you want a set, i bought 10 for a gp and there is one set of 68-72's left. 500 plus shipping gets you a set. not budget by any means, but still over 100 less than anybody else out there. im not making any money and some guy backed out on me.

Do you know what modifications have to be done?

I'm not a big fan of ceramic coating anymore. I have a pair of hooker super competitions that had ceramic coating. The coating didn't even last over five years of mild use. They almost look as bad as they would if I didn't have them coated at all.

What kind of warranty do the Edelbrocks have?

Not sure on the edelbrocks warranty, but I believe at least one person merely modified the collector on the f-body header to point straight back on one side as I guess that one side points in a bit to work on an f-body. Seemed pretty straight forward really.
Just for clarification I was talking about 4th Gen F-body headers. Is this they type this other person modified the collector on?
