Hi! Anyone Know What The Difference Is Between A F-40 And F-41 Suspension? What Was Included With Each Option? Just tring to figure out what Suspension I have? I have 69 SS396 L78 with front and rear sway bars, 12 bolt rear with boxed arms. Thanks

I have a 4 door 72 chevelle with a build sheet. It states the f-41 suspension but has none of the equipment. It came from an old grandma and was in decent shape with a good original interior and 90k on the odometer.Someone along the way took must have taken the parts.

F40 – Offered since 1964, included stiffened springs and shocks with a .937" front stabilizer bar.

F41 – New for 1969, included the F40 springs and shocks plus a 1.125” front stabilizer bar instead of the .937”. Added a .875” rear stabilizer bar with reinforced lower control arms.

I believe the F41 package also included special rear control arm bushings.

12 bolt rear ends came standard on all BBs.

I think they started using control arm braces in 1969 as standard equipment and in prior years only on BBs and maybe El Caminos.

I'm no expert but here's my 2 cents & a bump!
