Looking to buy a 2.5 inch header back system with an x-pipe, and no mufflers. Having a hard time finding it. Seems they are all cross-member back. Any suggestions?

The terms 'Header-back' and 'Crossmember-back' mean the same thing. Aftermarket companies assume the end user will probably use headers, so that's where the tubing starts. The "big three" (Pypes, MagnaFlow, & Flowmaster) offer downpipes to bridge the gap if you're running manifolds. So to answer your question, the only one to offer an X-pipe system without mufflers is Pypes. SGA10 is a 409 stainless system and comes with GM style hangers and stainless U-clamps. Flowmaster is the only other company to offer a kit w/o mufflers, but it is an H-pipe system made from aluminized steel. Hope this helps.

I have a Pypes 3" X pipe W/Violator mufflers full system to rear bumper behind a 590hp 600tq BB and very happy but thinking of changing tail pipes to 2.5", can't go wrong with Pypes IMHO (y) (y)

3" tailpipes are a PITA. Mine still need some clearancing where they rattle on the frame. With that said, I'm super happy with the sound and performance from my Pypes X pipe system with the RacePro mufflers. I dont like my car too loud, and the RacePros fit the bill perfect.

Had a local exhaust shop bend my pipes around the mufflers I had for $125, welded everything up and an X pipe. Like he said 2.5" aluminized pipe cost him $8 bucks for 4', like anything else, cost is everything in this hobby.

I'm happy with the Magnaflow system on my 67 but I came with mufflers though. Fit great.
