I'd be REAL surprised if you can buy "reproduction" sleeving. Dang, who would know if it was factory correct anyway.

Why not use material from an old pair of Levi's.

I did a frame up on my 67. Could not find this material. Don't worry. Just buy some material from a fabric store that is similar in thickness. Cut a rectangular strip, fold it over lenghtwise and sew the edge together. It'll make a nice sleeve. All it is for is rattle control, from what I can tell.

You did good, the cloth sleeve is for rattle, and very loose around the rods. The best thing to do is improve upon the original idea and not try to reproduce the material exactly. I have all great condition ones on mine and I still have a slight bouncing in one because the end connection is a little worn. Guess I'll have to add a piece of vacum line in a few places

Paul, I am not possitive but I believe the hard core Mustang resto suppliers handle something like that. Check them out.
