With the conversion to nitrogen based explosives from carbon based it would reduce global warming too.........I just feel so fussy inside knowing my taxes are spent so wisely.

On a side note. Does this mean they have to retrain bomb sniffing dogs?
On another forum, it was explained that you go in and blow up the enemy, then you come in and set up shop where the enemy once lived, you really dont want to be camped on a toxic waste dump. Sort of like the agent orange fiasco. jim

Most bomb sniffers sniff for nitrogen compounds, and there are some really strong explosives that contain no nitrogen at all. Sort of a problem isn't it.

nitrogen is used in fertilizer- when we accidentally bomb a farm, the owner should be thankful that we just gave him 500 pounds of fertilizer and a new duck pond where his house used to be.
