I have an Edlebrock Performer RPM intake and a Edlebrock carburetor. As you can see from the picture, the air cleaner is small. I think that it's 8" in diameter and 1 1/2 tall. What diameter should I get to increase the air intake? 14"? Should I go taller? K&M filter? My concern is if I go to much higher, it might interfere with the closing of the hood.

Then, I want to replace my exhaust manifolds with headers but I don't think that I have the room to do so. Here are some pics:

Also, what size exhaust should I go with to increase HP? 2.5" or 3"?

Thanks,
Keith

you have the same room as all the other BB Chevelles.

2.5 will do fine unless you get really get pushy with the engine. that would be mandrel bent 2.5", not muffler shop bends that turn a 2.5" tube into a 1.5".
