I was told that the 350 in my 74 Monte would benefit from Vortec heads, Vortec RPM Intake, 4bbl and Comp Cams XE-268H cam. What else do I need to complete these jobs? Timing chain, cam, intake, carb, heads, and...? I know springs etc. come on the complete Voretec assembly, do I need Rocker arms? What kind? pushrods? etc.? Thanks for all the info!

I think either scroggins/dickey or sallee offer a "complete" vortec head swap kit which has heads, manifold, rockers, and I think gaskets and some other stuff. I don't know if it includes the valve covers (centerbolts).

As far as pushrods, maybe the cam manufacturer can help you. I am considering a similiar swap on my 283 and I have often wondered how to figure pushrod length before everything else is installed.
