66 chevelle totally restored, all new wiring harnesses. new ignition sw, cannot get engine to shut of, have to pull engine wiring harness off power to coil at all times, any ideas

If you are using the ignition bypass from the starter solenoid, that contact could be welded. Do not know if you modified ignition.

i had petronix but pulled it out and went back to points, so everything stock. couple other crazy things, interior light always on and winshiled wipers not working, mechanic said maybe under das wiring harness wired wrong gas gauge not working but that could be intermediatte harness, ordered new one of those, any others please chime in as I just put 1500 into this and they could not figure out

Sounds like you are missing a good ground. The wire may be there but not doing its job if installed over fresh painted surfaces without the correct washers that cut in to the paint.
