Ok, i have my 502\450 next too my 66 SS. its painted black,, keep it Black and nice or get out the brush and paint it Orange? I'm putting Power disc brakes on it now and all new front end parts from PST, all control arms and front clip will be gloss black when completed. been sandblasting parts like crazy. But , well worth the effort.

Chevy Orange gets my vote also. It is the correct color for 1966, and adds a lot of contrast to an otherwise all black engine compartment. If you brush, use the POR brand Chevy Orange, as it will dry with no brush marks in the paint.

I also like the VHT chevy orange. It is a little darker than factory color and it does seem to be durable.
