Im looking at a 400 small block with a pro 144 blower on it. Just curious if anyone can tell me how much engine I can stick under that hood without modification? If i put a lower profile air cleaner it looks like it should fit.

We have a BB in ours with an old school torker and it fits.. We changed the intake to a Victor Jr, with a 1" super sucker spacer and we needed a 4" scoop to make it work.

If we used our low profile air cleaner we could have used a 2" cowl hood. We have the taller Moroso air cleaner with the Victor Jr.

That 400w/blower will require a cowl hood at least 2", maybe 4".

I have a 396 with a stock alum L78 intake, 750 and a low profile cleaner and have about 1/2" clearance on stock 65 hood. 64 and 65 hoods are virtually the same height.
