I am using one of the dreaded noisy Holley electric fuel pumps. I hate the sound of the thing since I am driving it daily. I installed it at a time when I thought it was basically going to see track duty and that was ok.

I have the Blue pump in there, which is rated at 110 gallons per hour. Will an equally rated mechanical pump be comperable? I have always found the electric to supply plenty of fuel for my engine.

Can I leave the electric pump in place, or will it present a restriction?

Thanks,

Devin

The 110 will do the job, but will have higher than wanted pressure...I guess this is fine is all you want to do is just cruise...

I would go up to the next pump a 130 and run a regulator....

I could not stand the Holley pump noise either so I switched to the Carter GP4601HP and love it. Same specs as the Blue Holley but way quieter. It will need a regulator but I assume you have one in place for the Holley pump so it should be a very simple swap. Here is a photo of the Carter pump.
