I have a 355 ci mild cam and a holley 600 dbl pumper mech sec. I was thinking of put an electric choke on it, a friend told me that I should get a 750. Is that to much for my setup or would it work well. Also does anybody know if they make a holley street avenger with an electric choke and mechanical secondaries?

a 750 is way too much carb for a small block with a mild cam. When I was a kid I had a Plymouth with a slant 6 and I put a four barrel on it thinking that it would be faster if I only gave it more fuel. I assume from your question that you know better though. Keep the 650. Holley makes an electric choke for it and it's easy to install.

If you have an automatic a 750 vacuum secondary should probably work well, after all, all Q-jets on Chevrolets were 750's. A street avenger is a good carb, they make them in 570, 670, and 770 cfm so you could take your pick. Holley also makes a 750 vacuum secondary with an electric choke with the part number 0-80508.
