I've been eye-balling a supposed LS5 70 elcamino for a little while. I was wondering if there's any way to tell a 454 car from a 396 car. The orig. engine is long gone. It does have all the stuff that a typical SS car should have and appears unmolested for the most part. No docs are with the car. :noway:

You can rule out the 454 if the EC was built before December, 1969.

Thanx Bruce, wasn't sure if that was a chevelle LS6 thing or 454 thing.
