Will these front shocks work for drag racing?

That is not what they were designed for.

They are a great high-performance replacement shock for a daily-driven vehicle, along with Bilstein, Monroe Gas, etc., depending on the budget.

Look at the various QA-1 shocks for a dual-purpose, street & racing unit.

Shocks for drag racing can be "double adjustable", for rebound & compression.

I have them front and rear on my 66

No not an optimal race shock but in my case they work just fine.

I have circle track 700# springs in the front with adjusters and IAS shocks.
The rear I have stock springs, IAS shocks, the HRpartsnstuff anti roll bar, hotchkis lowers and eddy adjust uppers.

The car hooks very well at the track and also corners sell also.
On drag radials I have had a best 1.59 60'
This is with a 475 HP 427 BBC.
The shocks are pretty stiff so they may be good for the rear but the front you would want more travel to get the front end up and transfer weight to the rear.

Like I said not a real drag shock but in my case works well.

I guess the real question should be is it a race car, street car or street car that occasionally sees the track.

We had these shocks on a street car 64 chevelle more of a pro touring style.. We converted everything to drag racing and they were just sitting on the shelf.
We were just wondering if anyone used them for drag racing.
Really we just want to sell them and move on, thanks for the comments. Oh! by the way how is the H&R ARB working for you?
