yes it is more smelly..sometimes it can be more smelly dumping at the bumper/..

You need a good trunk seal...it also helps to have a floor with zero holes in it.
My old nova was an afixiator...
I always stunk..the wheelies and tweaked unibody did not help with trunk or door seals..

I always had to have the windows down...or it was nighty night time after 25 miles or so....Cams with lot's of overlap get stinky also.

Some suggestions...replace trunk seal ..as you are doing i am sure.
Another: If you start putting good amounts of power to the ground
and notice a lot of chassis flex ...fix the issue.

The 78 nova of mine was wasted from constant flexing..3/4" gap on trunk lid on 1 side,, pushing paint off on the other..latch no longer worked..
I pinned the trunk lid like i did the front hood...Back glass began to pour water when it rained..front was already there....You could see the seals moving away from their regular spots..Clear silicone to the rescue...
I will not even talk about the doors....
I miss that car a little because it was sooo fast.. but it was wasted.

I sub frame conectored it ..but it was too late..

I built a 78 for a buddy..Before i installed the 9" ford 457 gears and spool i Joined the subframes ...and a few other tweekes to make that unibody rigid.

That one is dumped at the rear axle and will not make you stinky..
292H and a tunnelram and 2 600 carbs 355".
It launches really nice and does not twist up like mine did before i fixed it.

Do not think because you have a full frame that it is rigid enough.
Good luck to all with stinky clothes...hope the above helps someone out, at least a little bit.

One of my biggest complaints was blowing up dust.

I have had dumped at the axle, existing behind rear tires and now back at the bumper. Got most fumes in the car with it existing behind the tires. Dumped and existing at the bumper works equal on my car.

Just recently went back to tailpipes on the car and I love it. No more smell, and noise sounds like it's coming from the back instead of the floor, it's great. :D

Also... I used the flowmaster universal 3" tailpipe kit, it was a huge pain to mock up and install, and still doesn't fit the best. Don't buy this unless you love cutting and welding.

I have mine dumped at the axle now, and used to have the exhaust exiting out the back. I don't notice any difference in smell. There is the drone mentioned earlier, and you can definitely tell the noise in coming from underneath the car. But, I like that, so personal preference deal.

I thought it was just driving any old Chevelle that made you clothes stink? :D

Anyone put cut outs before the mufflers, routed them around and back into the tail pipe (to bypass the mufflers with the flick of a switch)? I've been thinking about doing this. I'd love to see a picture if someone has one...

thanks,

KP
